Removing Insect Repellent Stains from Your Robe
- Mix one teaspoon of liquid dish soap with one quart of cool water in a clean bucket or container.
- Dip a soft cloth into the soapy solution and wring it out so it’s barely damp.
- Gently dab and blot stain until it starts to disappear, then rinse cloth in fresh cool water.
- Apply a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the area, and let it stand for 1-2 minutes before blotting again with a clean cloth.
- If any color remains, prepare a solution of ¼ teaspoon of a color-safe bleach mixed with one quart of cool water.
- Once again, dip a soft cloth into the mixture and ring it out so it’s barely damp. Blot the remaining stain and rinse the cloth.
- Finally air dry the robe away from direct sunlight.

- Always test a small, hidden area of fabric before using a stain remover, especially on darker colors.
- Avoid using hot water, which can set stains and make them harder to remove.
- Never pour rubbing alcohol directly onto robe.
