Start by dabbing the stain gently with a damp cloth. Apply pressure to help lift stain, but take care not to rub it as this could worsen stain.
Mix a small amount of dish soap or detergent with some warm water. You can also use white vinegar and a few drops of essential oil or lemon juice if desired.
Soak the stained area of the pump in the cleaning solution for a few minutes. Make sure the solution covers the entire stain, then gently scrub area with a soft brush.
Rinse stained area with cool water. Make sure all the soap has been removed, then pat the area dry with a soft cloth.
Repeat steps 2-4 if the stain still remains, or if it is especially stubborn. You may need to repeat the process several times before the stain is completely gone.
