What You Will Need

  • Soft cloths
  • Dish soap or laundry detergent
  • Small brush
  • Raw vinegar
  • Baking soda

Cleaning Process

  1. Read the garment labels for any special washing instructions.
  2. Mix together 1 teaspoon of dish soap or laundry detergent with 1 cup of warm water in a small bowl.
  3. Dampen the stain with cool water, then apply the cleaning solution with a soft cloth.
  4. Gently scrub the stained area with a small brush.
  5. Rinse the fabric with cool water.
  6. If the stain persists, mix 1/4 cup raw white vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda in 1 cup of warm water.
  7. Repeat steps 3-5 until the stain is gone.
  8. Allow the fabric to air dry.

Tips

  • Avoid using hot water, as it can cause the stain to set.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • For tough stains, let the cleaning solution sit for several minutes before scrubbing.
  • If possible, do a test spot on an inconspicuous area of fabric first.
