  • Ammonia
  • Spotless dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Old toothbrush or soft brush
  • Clean cloths
  • Water

Steps for Removing Insect Repellent Stains from Organza

  1. Place organza under cold running water to flush out as much of the stain as possible.
  2. Mix a solution of 1/4 cup of white vinegar in 4 cups of warm water.
  3. Soak the organza in the vinegar solution for 15 minutes.
  4. Agitate the fabric gently to help the solution penetrate the stain.
  5. Rinse fabric with cold water.
  6. Create a spot-cleaning solution by combining 1 teaspoon of ammonia and 2 tablespoons of spotless dish soap in a bowl of water.
  7. Dip an old toothbrush into the cleaning solution and lightly brush the stained area.
  8. Rinse the fabric again with cold water.
  9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until the stain is removed.
  10. Blot the area of fabric dry with clean cloths.
