The first step in removing insect repellant stains from Nautica is to identify the garment's fabric type. Nautica garments are typically made from high-quality fabrics like cotton and wool. Once you've identified the garment's fabric type, move to the next step.
After you've identified the fabric type of your Nautica garment, it's time to gather supplies you'll need to complete the job. You'll need a sponge, some mild detergent, and a small bucket of warm water. If the insect repellant stain has already set in, you may also need an enzyme pre-treatment solution.
Using your sponge, apply a generous amount of the mild detergent to the stained part of garment. Let the detergent sit for 10-15 minutes before moving onto the next step.
Using your small bucket of warm water, rinse off the detergent from the garment. When you're finished rinsing, be sure to squeeze out all of the excess moisture from the garment.
Once you have squeezed out the excess moisture from the garment, hang it up to dry. Once it is completely dry, inspect the garment for any remaining insect repellant stains. If any remain, repeat the cleaning process until the garment is stain-free.
