What You Need:
- Laundry detergent
- Warm water
- Vinegar
- Non-abrasive cloth
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Pre-treat: Start by pre-treating the stained area with a few drops of laundry detergent and warm water. Allow the mixture to soak in for 1–2 minutes.
- Dab: Using a non-abrasive cloth, gently dab at the stain until it begins to lighten.
- Mix: In a separate container, mix 4 parts warm water with 1 part vinegar. Soak the non-abrasive cloth in the mixture and apply the solution to the area that has the stain.
- Let sit: Allow the vinegar solution to sit on the stain for 5–7 minutes.
- Rinse: Once the pre-treatment and application of the vinegar solution is complete, rinse off the area with cold water.
- Repeat: If the stain remains, repeat steps 1–5 as needed.
Tips & Tricks:
- If the stain persists, try rubbing alcohol, but be sure to spot-test an inconspicuous area first to ensure the material does not get damaged.
- If your item is able to be machine washed, add a small amount of vinegar to the soap and laundering as normal.
