What You Need
- Oxygen-based bleach
- Petroleum jelly
- Cold water
- Washcloth/towel
Steps To Clean Insect Repellent Stains From Merino
- Check the instructions on the garment’s tag before cleaning.
- Soak stained area in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Place some petroleum jelly on the stain. This will help break up the stain.
- Apply the oxygen-based bleach directly on the stain and rub it in gently with a washcloth or towel.
- Rinse garment in cold water and let it air dry.
Additional Tips
- If the stain is still visible after rinsing, try reapplying the oxygen-based bleach.
- If the stain persists, take the item to a professional dry cleaner.
