The first thing you must do before tackling any insect repellent stains is to ensure that your marcella clothing is thoroughly washed and dried. Pre-treating with a stain remover can also help loosen the residue from the fabric.
Once your clothing is ready, it's time to start with the cleaning process. Start by laying the stained area on top of an old towel or cloth.
While there are a variety of commercial cleaners available, white vinegar or lemon juice are two natural alternatives that can be used to break down the oily residue of insect repellent stains. Simply mix equal parts of the chosen liquid with water and apply it to the affected area of fabric.
Using a gentle scrubbing brush, rub the liquid into the stain in a circular motion until it begins to disappear. For harder to remove stains, leave the mixture to sit for 5-10 minutes before scrubbing.
After the liquid has been scrubbed into fabric, rinse it off with cold water and then launder it as usual. Once the item is dry, inspect it carefully to make sure the stain has been fully removed.
With patience and the right cleaning solution, even the most stubborn insect repellent stains can be removed from marcella clothing. If you follow the tips outlined above, you'll have no problem getting your favorite garments looking like new again.
