Step 1: Blot the Stain

Carefully blot the stain with a damp cloth or paper towel. Make sure not to scrub it as this will only spread the stain. If the stain persists after blotting, move on to step two.

Step 2: Apply Your Cleaning Solution

Mix up a cleaning solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Test the mixture on an inconspicuous spot on the shoe to make sure it won’t discolor or damage the fabric. Once it has been tested, apply it directly to stain and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse with Water

Once the 10 minutes are up, rinse excess solution off with room temperature water and repeat if necessary. Allow your loafers to dry naturally and they should be good as new.
