Cleaning insect repellent stains from a jumper is not as difficult as it may sound. It's all about using right ingredients and following certain steps.

What You Will Need

  • White vinegar
  • Borax powder
  • Water
  • Detergent

Step 1: Soak the Garment

Soak your garment in a sink or basin filled with warm water and white vinegar for about 30 minutes. The vinegar helps break down the repellent so it can be easily removed.

Step 2: Apply Borax Powder

Sprinkle borax powder over the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. The borax helps loosen the repellent stains and prepare them for washing.

Step 3: Wash the Jumper

Fill the sink or basin with warm water and some detergent. Then, swish the jumper around to remove the repellent stains. Afterward, rinse the jumper until all of the borax powder has been washed away.

Step 4: Air Dry the Jumper

Allow jumper to air dry and you're done! Just make sure to check the stained area before you put the jumper away, just to ensure that repellent is gone.
