Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda onto affected area and gently rub it in. Once you’ve rubbed it in sufficiently, let mixture sit for 30 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
Fill a bowl with cold water and place the stained fabric into the bowl. Let it soak for 30 minutes before removing it from the water.
After soaking the fabric, apply a small amount of oxygen-based stain remover, such as Oxi-Clean, directly onto the stain. Let the substance sit for 5 minutes before rubbing it in and then rinse.
After rinsing off the oxygen-based stain remover, put the fabric into washing machine and set the cycle to cold Gentle cycle. Add a suitable detergent and run the cycle. Once the cycle has finished, hang the fabric to dry.
Finally, inspect the fabric for any remaining traces of stain. If the stain is still visible, repeat the steps. Once you’re satisfied with the results, you’re done!
Insect repellent stains can present a challenge when it comes to cleaning them off jacquard fabrics. Thankfully, with the right approach and materials, you can restore your fabric back to its original condition. Just remember to always test any solution on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first to avoid any adverse effects.
