Lay the jacket flat on an absorbent surface, such as a towel or rag. Using a soft cloth, blot stained area. Try to absorb as much of the excess liquid as possible without rubbing, which could spread the stain.
Create a warm, soapy solution using laundry detergent and warm water. Submerge the stained portion of the jacket in the solution and let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
Remove the jacket from solution and rinse the area with cold water. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 1-3 before moving on to the next step.
In a separate bowl, mix together equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Dampen a cloth with the mixture and blot the stain. Let the vinegar solution sit for 5-10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
Machine wash the jacket on a gentle cycle, using cold water. Hang dry to avoid any potential shrinking.
