Before you tackle these pesky stains, make sure you have everything you need. You'll need a surface for protection, warm water, soap or detergent, white vinegar, a soft-bristled brush, a soft cloth, and a vacuum cleaner.
Lay down a protective surface, such as a tablecloth or garbage bag, before beginning. This will save your work surface in case of spills and can also act as an absorbent layer in case of any overflow.
Use a soft cloth and warm water to gently saturate the stain until it is slightly damp.
Mix together a solution with one teaspoon of soap or detergent and two teaspoons of white vinegar. Use a soft-bristled brush to lightly lather mixture into the dampened area of the handbag or purse.
Rinse the area with warm water to remove the solution and let the area air dry. Once the handbag has dried, use a vacuum cleaner to remove any traces of the repellent.
By following these five easy steps, you can easily clean insect repellent stains from your handbag or purse. Taking a few minutes to prepare and follow these steps can help you restore and maintain your bag's original beauty.
