Using a dry, white cloth or paper towel, gently blot the stained area of the dress to absorb as much of the liquid repellent as you can. Be sure not to rub the cloth, as this might cause the stain to become more difficult to remove.
Mix equal parts of lukewarm water and white vinegar in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab the stained area of the dress. The vinegar will help lift the stain, so be sure to fully saturate area. After a few minutes, rinse the dress off with cold water and repeat process if necessary.
Pour a mild laundry detergent onto a damp cloth and rub it over the affected area. Once the detergent has been worked into the fabric, rinse it off with cold water and you should now have a stain-free dress. If stain still remains, try repeating the above steps until you are satisfied with the results.
Cleaning insect repellent stains from dresses may seem like a difficult task, but with the right techniques, it can be done quickly and easily. We hope that the steps outlined above are helpful in removing those pesky stains from your favourite dresses.
