Steps For Removing Insect Repellent Stains

  1. For fresh stains, begin by gently blotting the area clean with a damp cloth. Don’t rub or scrub the stain as this could cause it to spread.
  2. If the stain is dry or has been around for a while, it may be necessary to soak the fabric in cool water with a mild detergent solution. Soak for no longer than 15 minutes, as this could cause fading or damage to the fabric.
  3. Once the stain has been sufficiently soaked, rinse the fabric with cool water and repeat steps 1 and 2 until the stain has been removed.
  4. In some cases, a stronger detergent or stain remover may be necessary. If this is the case, test the solution on a small, inconspicuous area of garment first to ensure it won't damage the fabric.
  5. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the fabric again and pat dry with a soft cloth.
  6. Allow the fabric to air dry completely before putting it back in use.
