Materials Needed

  • White vinegar
  • Mild dish soap
  • Soft brush
  • Soft cloth

Step 1: Pre-Treat with Vinegar

Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and generously apply the solution to stain. Let the solution soak into the stain for one minute or so before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Scrub with Soap & Brush

Combine a tablespoon of mild dish soap (or you can use laundry detergent) with two cups of warm water. Apply soap mixture to the stain and use the soft brush to gently scrub it away. Be sure not to over scrub, as this could damage the fabric.

Step 3: Rinse & Dry

Rinse affected area with a clean cloth and lukewarm water until soap and vinegar solution is gone. Allow it to dry completely before wearing the shoes again.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can easily remove pesky insect repellent stains from your clogs and make them look good as new!
