Things You Will Need

  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Cotton balls or dab cloth
  • Soap
  • A toothbrush
  • Clean towels

Instructions

  1. Mix equal parts of distilled white vinegar and water in a bowl.
  2. Dip a cotton ball or dab cloth in the solution, and rub it around the stain. Be gentle while doing this, and make sure you don't stretch the lace too much.
  3. Take a small amount of soap, put it on a wet toothbrush, and gently scrub the stained area.
  4. Wash your Chantilly lace with clean water.
  5. Gently squeeze out excess water from the lace, and then lay it flat on a towel.
  6. Let the lace dry in an area away from direct sunlight or any other heat source.

Tips

  • Always read the care instructions on the label before washing the Chantilly lace, to ensure that you do not damage it.
  • You can use club soda instead of distilled white vinegar, to remove insect repellent stains.
  • If the stain is still present after the above steps, you can use a gentle laundry detergent or a specialized fabric cleaner.
