What You'll Need:

  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar or lemon juice
  • A brush or sponge
  • A toothbrush (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel to remove any excess insect repellent that hasn't been absorbed into fabric.
  2. Mix up a solution of laundry detergent, white vinegar, and warm water. Be sure to use more detergent than vinegar for optimal results.
  3. Soak a brush or sponge in the solution, then gently scrub the stain until it's removed.
  4. Rinse the stain with warm water, then repeat if necessary.
  5. If the stain is still present, try using a mix of lemon juice and warm water instead.
  6. If necessary, use a toothbrush dipped in the mixture to gently scrub stain away in circular motions.
  7. After stain is gone, rinse the shirt with clean water and dry it with a towel or let it air-dry.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Always test any cleaning product on a small, hidden area of the shirt before applying it to stain.
  • For tougher stains, adding a few drops of ammonia to the cleaning solution can help.
  • If the stain persists after following these steps, take the shirt to a professional dry cleaner as soon as possible.
