What You'll Need:
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar or lemon juice
- A brush or sponge
- A toothbrush (optional)
Instructions:
- Blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel to remove any excess insect repellent that hasn't been absorbed into fabric.
- Mix up a solution of laundry detergent, white vinegar, and warm water. Be sure to use more detergent than vinegar for optimal results.
- Soak a brush or sponge in the solution, then gently scrub the stain until it's removed.
- Rinse the stain with warm water, then repeat if necessary.
- If the stain is still present, try using a mix of lemon juice and warm water instead.
- If necessary, use a toothbrush dipped in the mixture to gently scrub stain away in circular motions.
- After stain is gone, rinse the shirt with clean water and dry it with a towel or let it air-dry.
Tips & Tricks:
- Always test any cleaning product on a small, hidden area of the shirt before applying it to stain.
- For tougher stains, adding a few drops of ammonia to the cleaning solution can help.
- If the stain persists after following these steps, take the shirt to a professional dry cleaner as soon as possible.
