How to Get Insect Repellent Stains Out of Your Briefs

Instructions

  1. Mix together a solution of warm water and mild laundry detergent.
  2. Gently apply the solution to the stained area and let sit for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Use a clean cloth, microfiber towel, or a soft-bristled brush to work solution into the fabric.
  4. Rinse with warm water until the solution is removed.
  5. If the stain is still present, repeat the process until it has been removed.
  6. Allow the briefs to dry completely, then launder in the washing machine as usual.

Tips

  • Be sure to check for any warnings on the tags of your briefs before beginning cleaning process.
  • Spot test solution on an area of your briefs that isn't visible to make sure colors won't run.
  • Do not place your briefs in the dryer, as this may set the stain.
  • For tough stains, consider using an oxygen-based bleach.
