3 Simple Steps To Erase Insect Repellent Stains From Your Boots

Step 1: Use a Dry Eraser
For leather boots, start by lightly rubbing away any stained areas with a dry eraser. Move gently in one direction and test a small area first to make sure the surface doesn't get damaged. The eraser will pick up the residue from the insect repellent, leaving boots looking good as new.
Step 2: Use a Damp Cloth
If the eraser didn't work, or if the boots are made of a different material, try using a damp cloth instead. Dip it in warm soapy water and rub away the stain with gentle motions. Repeat until the surface looks clean, then let dry.
Step 3: Use Natural Solvents
If the stain still persists, you can apply some natural solvents such as baking soda, vinegar, or dishwashing detergent. Mix with a little bit of water to create a paste, then use a soft cloth to rub the paste into the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse it off with warm water.
