To start, make sure you have the right supplies. Depending on fabric of your blazer, you may need different cleaning materials. In general, however, you'll need a mild dishwashing detergent, a soft-bristle brush, distilled white vinegar, and a clean cloth. If the stain is still wet, first use a cloth to blot up as much of the liquid as possible.
Next, make a cleaning solution with 2 tablespoons of mild dishwashing soap and 2 cups of warm water. Dip soft-bristle brush into mixture and gently scrub the affected area on your blazer. Once you’ve let the soapy water sit for a few minutes, rinse the soap off by blotting the area with a damp cloth. Be sure to repeat this step until all of the detergent has been removed.
If the stain has already dried, create a solution of 1/4 cup vinegar and 2 cups of warm water. Soak a cloth in vinegar solution and dab the affected area of your blazer until it's completely saturated. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with a damp cloth. Again, make sure to rinse the fabric until all vinegar residue is gone.
Finally, take your blazer to the dry cleaners if there are any stubborn stains that won't come out. It may not be necessary but it's better to be safe than sorry!
