When ants, flies, and other insects invade our homes, we often resort to using insect repellent sprays to get rid of them. Unfortunately, if this remedy is used too close to Battenberg lace, it could leave unsightly stains on the material.
Fortunately, there are a few simple steps you can take to remove these stains and restore your Battenberg lace to its former glory.
The first thing you should do when you notice an insect repellent stain on your Battenberg lace is to act as quickly as possible. The sooner you start cleaning the stain, the easier it will be to remove.
Dampen a soft cloth with a mild soap and water solution. Gently dab the stain and work the soap into the fabric.
Rinse off soapy solution with cool water. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain has been removed.
Once the stain has been removed, you need to air dry Battenberg lace. Do not machine dry the material or put it in a dryer as this may cause the fabric to shrink or discolor.
By following these steps, you can easily remove insect repellent stains from Battenberg lace and keep it looking beautiful.
