What You'll Need

  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Non-abrasive cloths
  • Mild detergent
  • Cotton swabs

Instructions

  1. Mix two parts baking soda and one part white vinegar to create a paste.
  2. Using a soft, non-abrasive cloth, spread the paste over affected area. Be sure to cover the entire stain.
  3. Let the paste sit on the surface for 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse barrette with a damp cloth or rinse under cold water.
  5. Use a mild detergent and cold water to wash the barrette if necessary. Let stand for 10 minutes then rinse.
  6. For hard to reach areas, use a cotton swab with mild detergent and cold water.
  7. Pat the barrette dry with a paper towel or let it air dry.

Tips

  • Avoid using harsh cleaners as they can damage barrette.
  • Be sure to fully rinse any remaining paste residue.
