Before you start cleaning, grab the following supplies:
Start by wiping the stain with a lint-free cloth. This will help remove any excess insect repellent that is still on the surface of your shoe. Be sure to blot the area gently, as scrubbing too hard can damage the fabric of your ASICS.
Next, mix together one teaspoon of mild liquid detergent, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and one tablespoon of warm water in a small bowl. Dip the lint-free cloth into the mixture and apply it to the stained area. Gently scrub the fabric in a circular motion. Afterward, rinse off the soap and vinegar with warm water.
To further remove the stain, create a baking soda solution by mixing one teaspoon of baking soda with one teaspoon of warm water. Dip a lint-free cloth into solution and rub it against stained area. When finished, rinse off the baking soda with warm water.
Finally, allow your ASICS to air dry completely. Once finished, you should have a pair of sparkling clean shoes.
