Gathering the Right Supplies

Before you start cleaning, grab the following supplies:

• Lint-free cloth
• Small bowl
• Mild liquid detergent
• White vinegar
• Baking soda

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by wiping the stain with a lint-free cloth. This will help remove any excess insect repellent that is still on the surface of your shoe. Be sure to blot the area gently, as scrubbing too hard can damage the fabric of your ASICS.

Step 2: Clean the Stain

Next, mix together one teaspoon of mild liquid detergent, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and one tablespoon of warm water in a small bowl.
