If you have spilled ink on your favorite wrap dress, there’s no need to panic! With these easy-to-follow tips, you will be on your way to stain-free clothing in no time.

The first step to cleaning an ink stain is to gently dab it with a cloth instead of rubbing it, as rubbing could cause the stain to spread. If the fabric of your wrap dress is light in color, a white cloth should be used. For darker fabric, a dark-colored cloth should be used. Once you have dabbed off as much of the stain as possible, you can then blot the area with a clean cloth.
Once you have dabbed and blotted off as much of the stain as possible, you will then want to pretreat area with an appropriate cleaning solution. For ink stains, a mixture of one part dishwashing liquid and two parts hydrogen peroxide can be used. Before using this, however, make sure you test it in an inconspicuous spot on the garment. You will then want to apply the mixture directly to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before washing according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If the stain has not been completely removed by the pretreating process, you can try using a specialty stain remover. There are many different types of stain removers available at your local grocery or drug store. Be sure to follow any instructions on the label when using a stain remover.
Once you have pretreated and/or used a stain remover, you will then want to wash article of clothing. Make sure to check the care label before washing as some garments may require special care. It is also important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions on water temperature and washing cycle. If garment is machine washable, you will want to use a high-quality detergent and rinse thoroughly.
Once wrap dress is washed, you can then rinse it in a mixture of one cup vinegar to one gallon of warm water. This can help to remove any remaining residue. Once finished, you can hang the garment to air dry.
Do not put the wrap dress in the dryer . If ink stain has not completely come out, the heat from the dryer could cause it to set, making it more difficult to remove. Instead, hang the garment up to air dry in a cool area away from direct sunlight or heat.
If all else fails, you may want to consider having the garment professionally cleaned. Many dry cleaning facilities have the knowledge and equipment to successfully remove even most stubborn ink stains.
