Gather Supplies

Ink stain removal will require some basic supplies that you likely already have around the house: rubbing alcohol, a clean cloth, liquid laundry detergent, and a toothbrush.

Remove Excess Ink

Start by blotting the area with a clean cloth to remove any excess ink. Be gentle while doing this so that you don't spread the stain further.

Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Take a clean cloth or cotton ball and apply rubbing alcohol to the stained area. Rub it into the fabric using small circular motions. This will help to loosen the ink from the material. If the stain is particularly stubborn, wait a few minutes and try again.

Launder Clothing

Place article of clothing in your washing machine and add a scoop of liquid laundry detergent. Wash the item on hottest setting recommended for the fabric. If the stain has not been completely removed after laundering, repeat these steps.

Spot Treat the Stain

To spot treat the stain, pour a small amount of liquid laundry detergent onto affected area. Let it sit for a few minutes before gently scrubbing the area with a toothbrush. Rinse the garment in cold water and repeat until the stain has been fully removed.
