What You'll Need

  • Towel
  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Rubbing alcohol

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Take a clean towel and press it against the stain to absorb as much ink as possible. Do not rub the fabric; this may spread the stain or cause further damage. You may have to repeat this step several times.

Step 2: Apply Soap

Mix a few drops of dish soap with a cup of warm water and stir until sudsy. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and blot the stain. Be sure not to saturate the fabric. Let the soap sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water.

Step 3: Try Vinegar

Mix a few drops of white vinegar with a cup of warm water and apply it to the stain using a clean cloth. Let it sit for 10 minutes before wiping away with a damp cloth. You may have to repeat this step several times.

Step 4: Use Rubbing Alcohol

Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean rag and gently dab at stain. Keep blotting with a damp cloth until stain is gone. Rinse the area with cool water to remove any residue.

Step 5: Air Dry

Using a clean towel, gently pat the area dry. Allow the fabric to air dry completely before storing.

Conclusion

Removing ink stains from Venetian lace can be a bit tricky, but with the right tools and a little patience you can get it looking good as new! Follow the steps above and you’ll be sure to get excellent results.
