The cleaning process will depend on the type of fabric your underwear is made of. If it’s cotton or a similar natural fiber, you can soak the garment in a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar for at least 30 minutes. If the stain remains, rub a small amount of dish soap into the area and let it sit for an additional 30 minutes before rinsing. Repeat this process until the stain is completely gone.
If you’re dealing with a delicate or synthetic fabric, such as lace or silk, do not use vinegar as this can damage fabric. Instead, mix a solution of gentle laundry detergent and warm water, then moisten a cloth or sponge in solution and blot the stain. Rinse the area with cold water, and if the stain persists, repeat process until it’s gone.
Once the stain is no longer visible, place the garment in the washing machine and follow the instructions on the garment care tag. Avoid using strong detergents, as these can set the stain permanently.
With a little bit of effort and patience, even the most stubborn ink stains can be removed from your underwear. Just remember to take necessary precautions when mixing and applying any solutions, and you’ll be good to go!
