How to Easily Get Ink Stains Out of Tussah

What to Do Before Treating Stain:
- Test all products on an inconspicuous area before applying to stain.
- Check the Tussah's garment care label for specific instructions.
- If a dry clean only, contact a professional cleaner for assistance.
What You'll Need:
- Sodium carbonate powder (washing soda)
- White vinegar
- Laundry detergent
- Oxygen-based bleach
- Soft bristle brush
- Toothbrush
- Paper towels
Steps to Clean the Stain:
- Mix one part sodium carbonate powder with four parts warm water until it dissolves. Apply solution directly to the stain.
- Let the mixture sit for a few minutes until it dries.
- Mix a solution of one part white vinegar and four parts warm water. Blot the stain with the solution and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix a solution of one tablespoon of laundry detergent, one tablespoon of oxygen-based bleach and four cups of warm water. Soak the stain in this mixture and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Remove the stain from the solution and use a soft bristle brush and a toothbrush to work the mixture into the fabric.
- Rinse the stain with warm water until the stain is gone.
- If any stain remains, repeat steps 1-5.
- Pat the fabric dry with paper towels or air-dry.
