The best way to tackle any stubborn stain is to act fast. Don't let the ink dry on the fabric - immediately grab a paper towel or cloth and try to absorb as much of liquid as possible without smearing it deeper into the material. If necessary, add a drop of water to the cloth and carefully dab at the spot.

Next, try using an acetone-free nail polish remover to deal with the stain. Apply a small amount of the remover to a cotton pad and dab it on the mark gently. Never rub the fabric, as this will only spread the ink further. If the stain remains, repeat these steps until it disappears.

If the nail polish remover doesn't do the trick, there are a couple of other remedies you can try. One option is to mix a tablespoon of salt with warm water and leave the mixture on the affected area overnight - this should help break up the stain. You can also make a paste from baking soda and water and use it to scrub away any stubborn marks.

Finally, wash the garment according to the instructions on the label. If possible, choose a warm cycle and add a pre-treatment stain removal product. This will help remove any residual ink from the fabric and prevent the stain from setting deeper.

With the right products and cleaning methods, you can easily get rid of pesky ink stains on your favourite tunic. Doing a bit of research beforehand and taking the necessary precautions will ensure that your clothing essentials look their best.
