Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a clean cloth or paper towel, gently blot stain until you’ve absorbed as much ink as possible. Avoid rubbing stain, as that can spread it further.

Step 2: Treat the Stain with Detergent

Mix a few drops of detergent in warm water. For laundering, use a gentle laundry detergent intended for fabrics. Dip the cloth in detergent solution and dab at the stain. Gently press the cloth against the stain for about 10 seconds and then wash it off with a clean damp cloth. If the stain persists, repeat this process several times.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry the Area

Rinse area with cold water and then dry area using a clean dry cloth. Keep repeating the process until you remove stain.

Step 4: Check the Results

Once you are satisfied, hang up the garment and let it dry. Depending on the type of material the garment is made of, ironing may be necessary. Once the garment is dry, inspect the stain to make sure the area is clean.

Additional Tips and Advice

  • When cleaning delicate fabrics, use rubbing alcohol instead of detergent.
  • Do not use strong bleach-based cleaning solutions, as these can damage the fabric.
  • To remove grease stains, use a combination of warm water and detergent.
