If you've spilled ink on traditional clothing, the first thing you'll want to do is act quickly. Try to dab up as much of the ink as possible with a clean cloth or paper towel. Be sure not to rub the stain as this can spread the ink further.

Next, mix a solution of equal parts lukewarm water and isopropyl alcohol. Test the solution on an inconspicuous area of the fabric to make sure it won't damage the material. Once it has been approved, use a clean cloth to gently apply the solution to stain. Blot the stain until it is gone.

If the stain persists, you may need to try a different method. Pretreat the stain with a laundry detergent designed for ink removal. Wait for about 15 minutes for detergent to soak in and then launder according to the clothing's indicated washing instructions.

The final option is to use acetone-based nail polish remover. Apply a small amount of acetone or remover to a clean cloth and blot the stain. This should lift the ink from fabric. Rinse the fabric by running cold water over the area while blotting with a damp cloth.

No matter which method you choose to use, always test on an inconspicuous part of the clothing before applying to the stain. This will ensure that any solution you use won't damage the material.
