If the ink stain is fresh, use a damp cloth and some mild dish soap to blot and pre-treat the stain. Work in circular motion and be sure not to rub too hard. This should be enough to lift any excess ink off the fabric.
Next, spray or apply a paste-type stain remover directly to the stain. Wait for the stain remover to set in, usually no longer than 5 minutes, then rub the stained area with a green scrubbing pad.
Once you're done scrubbing, rinse the area with clean water and pat dry with a clean cloth. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 1-3 until it is gone.
Cleaning ink stains from tents and camping gear can be a challenge. However, with right supplies and a few simple steps, you can have your gear looking as good as new. So the next time you spot an ink stain, take a deep breath, follow these steps and you'll be rid of it soon enough.
