Step 1: Blot and Remove Excess Ink

Start off by lightly blotting your stocking with a cloth or paper towel to remove any excess ink. Do not rub the stain, as this could cause it to spread. If possible, try and pull apart fabric on either side of the stain to loosen the fibers.

Step 2: Pre-treat with Liquid Laundry Detergent

Next, liberally apply liquid laundry detergent to the stain and let it sit for several minutes. This will help to break down the ink molecules, making it easier to remove during washing process.

Step 3: Wash in Cold Water

Fill a sink with cold water and add the stocking along with some mild detergent. Let the stocking soak for around half an hour and then gently scrub the stain using your hands. Afterwards, rinse the stocking thoroughly and check to see if stain is gone.

Step 4: Repeat the Process if Necessary

If stain is still visible after the first wash, repeat steps 2 and 3 until it is completely gone. If necessary, use a soft toothbrush or nailbrush to scrub away any stubborn marks.

Once stain is gone, hang the stocking up to dry and enjoy the clean, ink-free result!
