Ink stains can be really irritating, especially when it affects something valuable like a pair of slippers. There are various methods for removing ink stains from slippers depending on the material of the slipper. Here are some common methods:
For Leather Slippers
- To start, you will need to make a cleaning solution by mixing liquid detergent and white vinegar with warm water.
- Then, use a soft-bristled brush or cloth to apply this solution over the ink stain and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Rinse the cleaner off with lukewarm water and let the leather dry naturally.
- You can also use rubbing alcohol to remove tough ink stains. Apply it onto the stain with a cloth and dab it until the stain fades away.
For Fabric Slippers
- Using mild detergent, gently rub the stain with a damp cloth.
- If that doesn't work, try dabbing rubbing alcohol over the stain with a cloth and let it sit for few minutes.
- Rinse it well with water and let the fabric dry.
- If any stubborn ink stains remain, you can use a laundry stain remover for the fabrics.
For Suede Slippers
- Mix equal parts of rubbing alcohol and water in a small bowl.
- Dip a cotton pad into the mixture and then rub it gently over the stained area.
- Remove excess moisture with a paper towel and let it air dry.
- Next, you can use a suede brush to brush suede in same direction.
These are some simple methods which can help you get rid of ink stains from your slippers. Always test these techniques on a small and hidden area of the slipper first, before you attempt to remove the stain completely.
