Using a dull butter knife or spoon, gently scrape off any dried ink that has accumulated on the shirt. Be sure to scrape only in one direction and avoid rubbing the spot to prevent further spreading of the stain.
Mix a tablespoon of a powdered detergent with a cup of warm water. Dip a sponge into solution and gently dab the stain. Work from outside stained area towards the center so that the stain does not spread. Do not rub the spot, but instead use a patting motion. Rinse the fabric after each dab.
If the detergent solution alone cannot remove the stain, you can try blotting it with a hairdryer and rubbing alcohol. Preheat the hairdryer and then set it to its lowest setting. Spray the fabric with an equal mix of water and rubbing alcohol and then use the hairdryer to blow heat at the stain for about 30 seconds. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
Once the stain has been removed, place the shirt carefully in the washing machine, making sure not to let it come into contact with other clothing items. Wash the shirt in hot water and use a color-safe bleach if necessary. Hang the shirt to dry.
