Silk organza is an exquisite and delicate material, which can make it problematic when you accidentally get an ink stain on it. The good news is that removing ink stains from this fabric isn't as tricky as you might think, if you know the right steps to take.

What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • Borax
  • White vinegar
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Q-tips

Step 1: Blot Stain with Soap

Start by blotting the ink stain with a few drops of dish soap. Be careful not to rub too hard or you could end up spreading the stain further. Allow soap to sit for five minutes before rinsing it away.

Step 2: Mix Borax and Vinegar Solution

Create a mixture of one tablespoon of borax and one teaspoon of white vinegar. Stir the mixture until the borax is completely dissolved in the vinegar. Then, use a cloth to apply solution directly to the stain.

Step 3: Soak in Isopropyl Alcohol

After applying the borax and vinegar solution, it's time to soak the stain in isopropyl alcohol. Fill a bowl with enough isopropyl alcohol to cover the stain. Soak the fabric for 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

Step 4: Finish Up With Q-Tips

Finally, use a few Q-tips dipped in isopropyl alcohol to blot at any remaining ink stains. If necessary, repeat the above steps until the stain is gone.

Conclusion

Getting ink stains out of silk organza doesn't have to be difficult. Follow these simple steps to remove ink stains effectively and quickly.
