White vinegar is an excellent solution for treating ink stains. Soak the stained area in a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts cold water for about 10 minutes. Then, blot area with a towel until ink starts to come off. If the stain persists, mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water and use a cloth to gently rub the stained area. Cheaper potable-grade vinegar should be perfect for this job.
Rubbing alcohol can also be used for removing ink stains from satin garments. The easiest way to do this is to moisten a piece of clean cotton with rubbing alcohol and dab it directly onto the stained area. For tougher stains, mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with one teaspoon of rubbing alcohol in two cups of warm water. Make sure to use gentle strokes when rubbing the stained area and avoid rubbing too hard or too much as it could damage the satin.
Lemon juice can be used to remove ink stains from satin fabrics. The acidity of lemon juice can break down the stain and make it easier to remove. Simply mix one part lemon juice and two parts cold water, and soak stained area for 10-15 minutes. Once the stain has softened, blot the area with a clean towel. Repeat the process if necessary.
Baking soda and dish detergent can be a great solution for removing stubborn ink stains from satin fabrics. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent in two cups of warm water. Soak the stained area in the mixture for 10-15 minutes, then gently rub the area. Rinse with cold water and repeat if necessary.
