If you're dealing with an ink stain on your sari, the first step is to quickly remove any excess ink with a damp paper towel or cloth. It's important to act right away as this will help prevent the stain from setting.
Next, mix one teaspoon of a mild detergent with two cups of warm water. Use the face of your toothbrush to gently scrub the affected area using the liquid solution.
If the stain persists, then it's time to move on to a stronger option. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda and two tablespoons of white vinegar with a cup of warm water. Dip a cotton swab into the mixture, and apply it directly to the ink stain. Blot the area with a dry, clean cloth.
Another home remedy for ink stains is to apply a small amount of denatured alcohol to a cotton ball and dab it onto the stain. Once again, use a dry cloth to blot up any excess liquid.
If, after trying all of these methods, ink stains still remain, then take your sari to a dry cleaner for professional cleaning. They have access to specialized solvents, and their trained technicians know how to correctly treat delicate fabrics to ensure the ink is completely removed.
