If you’ve ever had ink stain your outerwear, you know the sinking feeling of worrying that it might be there forever. But with the right technique and a few common household items, you can remove ink stains quickly and easily. Here are some tips for quickly getting rid of ink stains on your outerwear.

  • Be sure you know what type of fabric your outerwear is made from. Some fabrics are more delicate than others, so it’s important to know what material you’re dealing with before you start cleaning.
  • Immediately after you notice the stain, use a damp cloth to dab the area and soak up as much of the ink as possible. You don’t want the ink to spread further or set in.
  • Make a solution of water and dishwashing detergent and mix until it forms a thick paste. Using a clean cloth, rub the paste over the stain and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  • Once 10 minutes has passed, rinse the area with cold water and blot the area with a dry cloth to absorb any remaining moisture. This should help get rid of the stain.
  • If the stain persists, you can try using a small amount of rubbing alcohol and repeating steps 3 and 4. Rubbing alcohol should help loosen ink stain and help it come off.

Once the stain has been fully removed, make sure to air dry the area before you put the item of clothing back on or close it in a drawer. This will ensure that the stain doesn’t reappear and that the area is completely dry.

By following these steps, you should be able to get rid of the ink stain and keep your outerwear looking good. Good luck!
