Using rubbing alcohol and water

Start by mixing equal parts rubbing alcohol and water. Dip a cloth in the liquids and dab it onto the stain. Rubbing alcohol works best for light colored fabrics as it won't cause discoloration. Once the stain begins to fade, rinse the area well with plain water before allowing it to air dry.

Using nail polish remover

If you don't have any rubbing alcohol on hand, nail polish remover can also be used to remove ink stains. Dab some nail polish remover onto a soft cloth or cotton ball and gently rub into stained area. Again, be sure to rinse well with plain water afterwards and allow it to dry.

Using a commercial solvent

If above methods don't work, you may need to use a commercial cleaning solvent such as Goo Gone or Spot Shot. Follow the instructions on the packaging and test a small area first before treating the entire stain. As with the other methods, you'll want to rinse the area with water after applying the solvent.

Preventing future stains

Once your outdoor furniture is clean and stain-free, you'll want to make sure you take steps to protect it from further damage. Consider using a furniture protector or sealant to keep your furniture looking like new.
