What You’ll Need To Clean Ink Stains on Nylon

  • White vinegar
  • Plain dishwashing liquid
  • Ammonia
  • Small bowl
  • Soft cloth
  • Bucket of cold water

Instructions

  1. Dab the stain with a soft cloth soaked in white vinegar to help break down the ink.
  2. Mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid and a teaspoon of ammonia in a small bowl.
  3. Use a damp cloth to apply the cleaning solution to the stained area.
  4. Gently rub the area with the cloth until the ink begins to come off.
  5. Rinse the stained area with cold water from a bucket.
  6. Make sure all of the cleaner is washed away.
  7. Allow the fabric to air dry.

Tips for Preventing Future Ink Stains on Nylon

  • Check if ink pen or marker you're using is waterproof.
  • Avoid placing ink pens in pockets or bags where they could accidentally leak or spill.
  • Keep dark colors of clothing away from areas where you may use ink pens or markers.
