Start by blotting the stained area with a clean cloth that has been soaked in rubbing alcohol. Do not rub the stain or else you may end up spreading ink. Simply press down on the stained area for several seconds and then continue to repeat until stain has faded away.
Once the stain has been blotted away, it's time to pretreat the area with white vinegar. Apply a few drops of white vinegar onto the stain and let it sit for several minutes. This will help to remove any remaining ink particles that may be stuck in the fabric.
For best results, wash the affected area with a gentle liquid dish soap. Use an old toothbrush to scrub area in a circular motion and then rinse with cold water. If stain persists after washing, proceed to the next step.
This final step is the most effective but it may also cause damage to fabric. Before proceeding, ensure that the hydrogen peroxide you're using is specifically designed for stain removal. Apply a few drops of the hydrogen peroxide onto the stain and scrub it gently with an old toothbrush. Once finished, rinse the area with cold water and allow fabric to air dry.
With patience and right cleaning supplies, ink stains on your merino fabric can easily be removed! We hope this guide has helped you achieve the desired outcome.
