Fill a basin with warm, soapy water and submerge the jacket completely. Make sure you use a mild detergent, such as Woolite or Dawn, to avoid any damage to the fabric. Soak the jacket for 20 to 30 minutes.
Take the jacket out of the water and blot the ink stain with a white cloth or paper towel. Try to absorb as much ink as possible without rubbing it.
Prepare spot cleaner following manufacturer’s instructions. Many spot cleaners come in a highly concentrated form, so make sure you dilute it properly before using it. When it’s ready, apply it directly onto the stained area with a clean cloth.
Rinse the spot cleaner off with cold running water. Don’t rub the stain and just let the water run over it until the soap and cleaner are gone.
Do not put the jacket in the washing machine. Instead, let it dry naturally by hanging it up somewhere in your home. Once it’s dry, inspect the stained area to see if the stain is still remaining. If so, then repeat whole process.
