Tricks to Get Ink Stains Out of Your J Jill Clothes

Easy Steps for Removing Ink Stains from J Jill Fabrics
- Create a solution of one teaspoon liquid dishwashing detergent mixed with one cup cool water.
- Dampen a clean white cloth with the detergent solution and gently blot at the stain.
- Continue blotting until the stain begins to lift.
- Change cloth as needed to ensure that no color transfer occurs.
- Rinse the fabric with cool water after the stain has been removed, and then launder it according to the care instructions on tag.
Treating Stubborn Ink Stains
If the above method doesn't work, you may need to use stronger remedies that contain alcohol or bleach. Note that these can fade colors or cause other damage, so make sure to test them on an inconspicuous spot first.
- Mix one tablespoon rubbing alcohol with two tablespoons water and apply it to the stained area. Blot until the stain is gone.
- Alternatively, moisten a cotton swab with diluted household bleach (one part bleach to four parts water) and apply it to the stain. Again, dampen a cloth with the solution and blot until stain fades.
- Rinse the fabric in cool water after treatinig the stain with either solution. Again, launder the garment according to the tag directions.
If the stain still won't come out, you may need to take the item to a professional cleaner.
