Ink stains are never pleasant, but don't worry. A bit of patience and using a few common household items are all that is required for removing ink stains from a hoodie. Here is how you will tackle the problem.
What you need
- Rubbing alcohol
- Bucket or container
- Cotton balls
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Stain remover (optional)
Instructions
- The first step is to dab the stained area with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol. Be sure to work from the outside of stain towards the middle in order to avoid spreading it.
- Once you have done that, fill a bucket or container with cold water and add a few drops of liquid laundry detergent. Submerge the stained area into the mixture, let it sit for about 20 minutes, and gently massage the stain with your hands.
- Rinse the hoodie with cold water afterwards and leave it to air dry.
- Check the stained area and, if needed, repeat steps 1 through 3 until the stain is completely gone.
- If stain still persists, you can try using a commercial stain remover product following the instructions on the label.
