Steps to Remove Ink Stains from Your Hollister Clothes

  1. Start by soaking the garment in cold water for 15-30 minutes. This can help stop the ink from setting further into material.
  2. After removing the clothes from the cold water, place them on a towel and prepare a cleaning mixture using rubbing alcohol, non-bleach soap, and white vinegar. Mix together one part rubbing alcohol, one part non-bleach soap and two parts white vinegar.
  3. Gently dab the stain with the cleaning mixture, avoiding any harsh scrubbing motions. This can cause the stain to spread out further, which defeats the purpose of cleaning.
  4. Cover the stain with a generous amount of cornstarch, then let it sit for five minutes.
  5. Once the cornstarch has absorbed the ink, brush off powder with a soft cloth.
  6. Rinse the garment in cold water to remove any leftover residue.

How to Avoid Future Ink Stains on Your Hollister Clothes

  • Avoid carrying pens in the pockets of your Hollister jeans.
  • Be careful when taking notes in class or at work. Try to always use a clipboard in order to keep from spilling ink onto your clothes.
  • If you store Sharpies, highlighters, or other writing implements in your locker, backpack, or purse, be sure to separate them from any clothing.
