The headphones may have detachable ear cushions, or they may be permanently attached. If they’re detachable, take them off and put them aside. If they’re permanently attached, you can skip this step.
Dip the cotton swab into warm water and then squeeze out any excess water so that it’s damp but not soaking wet. Don’t use hot water, as this could damage your headphones.
Gently rub cotton swab on the stained area until the stain starts to fade. If the stain is stubborn, add a few drops of mild dish soap onto cotton swab and continue rubbing gently.
Once the stain has faded, wipe off the soapy residue with a damp soft cloth. Be sure not to scrub or rub too hard, as this could damage the headphones.
Once the headphones have been wiped off, dry them with a clean microfiber cloth. This will help ensure that no moisture remains on the surface.
If headphones have detachable ear cushions, reattach them to the headphones. Make sure they’re secure before use.
Cleaning ink stains off of headphones can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. With the right tools and a bit of patience, you can remove even the toughest stains without damaging your headphones.
