The first step in removing any stain is to blot up as much of the liquid as possible with a dry, clean cloth. Carefully blot the ink stain, then move on to next step.
Fill a small bowl or container with cold water. Submerge ink-stained area of fabric and let it soak for at least an hour.
After soaking the fabric, use a mild detergent such as Woolite to gently scrub the stained area. Work the detergent into the fabric by hand, and rinse off any excess with a damp cloth.
If the stain persists after steps 1–3, it may be time to break out the heavy artillery. Purchase a specialized ink stain remover such as "Heavy Duty Spot Remover" and apply it directly to the stained area. Leave stain remover on for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
If all else fails, consider taking the fabric to a professional dry cleaner. Professional cleaners are trained in art of stain removal and can often get out stubborn spots that home remedies cannot.
Ink stains can be difficult to remove from habutai fabrics, but you don't have to be stuck with them. Follow the steps above to easily get rid of ink stains and keep your fabrics looking as good as new.
