Steps to Clean an Ink Stain from Gazar Fabric

  1. Blot stain with a clean white cloth and cold water. Do not rub the stain or it could spread and worsen the stain.
  2. Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl or shallow container. Soak the stained area in the mixture for up to 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the gazar fabric from the mixture and rinse it thoroughly with cold water. Blot the fabric with a clean white cloth to remove excess moisture.

  5. Soak ink-stained area of the gazar fabric in the mixture for up to 15 minutes.
  6. Rinse the gazar fabric with cold water and blot it with a clean white cloth to remove excess moisture.
  7. If stain persists: Soak a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and dab the stained area. Rinse the gazar fabric with cold water and blot it with a clean white cloth to remove excess moisture. Caution: Test a small, hidden area of the gazar fabric first to ensure that the rubbing alcohol does not cause discoloration.
  8. If the stain still persists: Mix 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with 1 cup of cold water in a bowl or shallow container and soak the gazar fabric in the mixture for up to 15 minutes. Rinse the fabric with cold water and blot it with a clean white cloth to remove excess moisture.

Tips

  • Be sure to test a small, hidden area of the fabic with the cleaning solution you intend to use before proceeding with the cleaning process.
  • Avoid using hot water on gazar fabric as it may make the stain worse by setting it in the fabric fibers.
  • Be sure to use cold water when rinsing the gazar fabric as hot water will also set the stain in fabric.
  • When blotting the ink-stained area, avoid rubbing the fabric. Rubbing can cause the stain to spread and worsen stain.
